Sorry, What's Happening Here?
When I finished this book, despite having just finished a story attempting to be very moving and emotional, I just felt confused. While this is a creative concept, the execution falls flat and fails to deliver on all of its promises.

The Non-Political Life of a Trad Wife
No matter how you pitch it, mystery/thriller books that expose the dark side of social media are never that revolutionary, and "Everyone is Lying to You" is no exception. While I was interested by the idea of looking at trad wives specifically, the author did not deliver on this idea. This ended up being an underwhelming, inexperienced, and apolitical perspective exploration.

AI Doesn't Hide Lackluster Writing, It Emphasizes It
Had I come across this book naturally, I would've just passed it on. This book was really just not for me, and I'm really disappointed by whoever made the cover decisions. As it was, the book was underwhelming and didn't leave a lasting impression.

Well, Women Aren't Perfect Either
I guess I should've known better from the title, but I wasn't expecting this book to be as male-focused as it was. This brand of "feminism" is unfortunately a little too TERF-like than I'm comfortable with, but I also have to wonder if that was the goal. Was this book actually attempting to be a feminism novella? I don't really think so. Perhaps it should've tried harder to do so, because as it was, I found this book lacking.

Some Secrets Are Better Kept
I wanted to love this book so badly. I loved "If We Were Villains," and this book often gets recommended in hand with that, so I was ready to find a new obsession. And, honestly, I really had hope for Book 1. It wasn't perfect, but I was enjoying it an awful lot. And then we get to Book 2.

When Nuance Gets Lost
Full disclosure: I started this book at the very beginning of the month, and then I didn't pick it up again until just recently. I was just never that engaged with it. The concept was super cool, and there were certainly moments that I liked. Overall, unfortunately, I found the characters very unlikable and the writing not strong enough to make up for it.

Hamlet, the Frat Bro, and His Awful Girlfriend
I knew from the cover of this book that it was probably not going to be my thing, but because it's about "Hamlet," I decided to give it a shot anyway. I thought that perhaps it could be fun in an "early 2000s teen movie" kind of way. What I got instead was a lazy, reductive version of this play that talks down to its readers and shows a blatant disregard for the things that make the original so loved.

Say It Again ... And Again ... And Again
This book wasn't good. Had I not won it in a Goodreads giveaway, I probably would've stopped reading it.

Another Mostly-Okay Mystery
Looks can be deceiving, and in keeping with the tradition of Shakespearean tragedies, this book starts off in a rough spot and gets worse.

The Love of a Sister Transcends Legality
I enjoyed this book, but I'm worried it was overhyped and that hindered my enjoyment.

Where Horror and Literary Fiction Clash
This book taught me a very valuable lesson about picking books to read just because there's a dramatic flower bouquet on the cover.

A Lazy and Uninspired Story About How Women are Dumb and Evil
Where to begin with this book. I wasn't sold from the very beginning, and it went downhill from there.
