Five Nights at Hobby Lobby
I really wanted to like this book a lot more than I did. After all, I like crafting, and I tend to enjoy critical looks at Christianity. While it wasn't the worst book ever, but I stopped enjoying the experience of reading it at, like, 30%. Unfortunately the book just didn't manage to live up to anything it promised.

Overnight Shenanigans
I've discovered that I really enjoy M.L. Rio as an author. I really enjoyed this novella. I thought it was well-done as a short-er story (rather than a full length novel), but honestly? I would've loved this as a full-length novel. It was well-contained for what it was, but it could've easily been expanded upon.

What Dies First: John, or My Enjoyment?
This book was originally published in 2009, and unfortunately, for everything I enjoyed about it, there was another slur spoken that drew me out of it. And I get it: it was a different time.

Another Haunted House Story
This book was fine. It wasn't great, but it wasn't awful. It reminded me a lot of The Haunting of Hill House (both the movie and the show), but not as good. The concepts in this book had some real potential, but I don't think the execution matched up to expectations.

Where Horror and Literary Fiction Clash
This book taught me a very valuable lesson about picking books to read just because there's a dramatic flower bouquet on the cover.
