I saw the movie trailer and thought that it looked interesting, so I put the book on hold at the library. Now, months later, I'm happy to report that The People are correct and the vibes of this book do not match the vibes of the movie trailer. Although it was not what I was expecting, I still really enjoyed the book. The first half dragged, and while I came to appreciate it once I had finished, it still made a slow start.

It took me a good bit to get into this book, but I did grow to enjoy it. There were times that I found it quite tedious, but on the whole I liked the story. I do think that you must like the original play as a prerequisite to this book, though; it stands strongly as a prequel but not very well on its own.

This was a fun book to read. I always enjoy seeing how people reimagine Shakespeare, especially when it's being done in a more inclusive way. As with every anthology, there were some hits and some misses, and some of them did feel quite young (not a critique, just an observation), but overall it was a good reading experience.

Overall, though, I did like the book. The writing in particular really stood out to me. I liked how atmospheric it was; the style did a good job to encompass the tone and messages that the author was trying to portray. It wasn't a perfect book, and I thought it took a moment to find its groove, but I enjoyed reading it.

The description of this book makes it seem like it's going to be a mystery, and it's not. It's a good story, but if you're looking for a mystery and want to watch them investigate to solve whose skeleton was found, you're going to be disappointed. Honestly, I spent the first bit a little disoriented about this. Once I found my actual footing, though, I did enjoy the story for what it was. I just think it could've used some refining around the start.

I did enjoy this book. The writing style reminded me of Benjamin Stevenson, of whom I am a huge fan, and the characters were so fun. While I didn't love everything, and the story got a little confusing, I had a lot of fun reading this book.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the writing of this book, though I did like it overall. The author is clearly competent and knowledgeable about how to write a mystery, and I did enjoy the concept.

Overall, this book was fine. I'm glad I read it, because it was a sweet story that was clearly written by a lover of a books, which I appreciate. But it's certainly not my favorite book ever.

I thought the premise was so funny that I just had to read it. But honestly, as far as fun romance book go, I enjoyed this one.

I had this book saved for a long time, and I couldn't remember why until it started making very blatant Taylor Swift references.
